My review is less about this place particularly and more about See's candies itself. I just wanna say that the rest of the candies are pretty good and I like them however that one rum flavored one is sooooo bad that it ruins it for all of them.

Today is Valentines Day. In the store it was packed. A gentleman started to assist me then he told me they were out of something (they actually had more in back but he didnt want to walk to get it apparently) and when I asked for a suggestion his advice was “i don’t like …..”. I asked for another person to assist me. Miss Charlene came to my rescue. What a kind, patient, helpful and knowledgable lady. She went and go in the back for what I asked for (milk chocolate Bordeaux) and then help me pick the rest for my husband. I cannot say enough about Miss Charlene. All I can say is - Thank you for making my day a bit easier through your kindness.

This was the first time that I came to this location in McHenry village. I usually go to the mall. Of course there's always 10,000 people in the mall. I got me 3 lb of See's Candy and the lady that helped me. She was the assistant manager. I'm sorry I forgot her name even though her name was spelled differently. I am really bad with names but her name badge says she was the assistant manager. Very nice. Very friendly. She took time for us to get the 3 lb of See's Candy and I got a couple of other stuff. I picked my favorite candies and she put them in the box. I kind of felt bad cuz three other customers walked after us. We told her she can help them and she can continue with my order. But she was so sweet. I really like this place. I will come back again besides it's closer to home 🏠.

The best See's candy location I have been in since I was a kid. Very well kept older original location like when I was a kid. Walking in this one gives you the feeling of nostalgia unlike the ones at the malls. Very good customer service and the See's tradition of giving out a sample chocolate when they greet you at the counter. Highly recomend the Butter chews and milk chocolate molasses chips.
